"This software package provides support for partitions that extend beyond 1024 cylinders.

Generally, this boundary is on drives larger than 7.9GB. OS/2 is
not limited in the disk size it can access but new partition types have been created to identify partitions beyond 1024.

Some utilites and other operating
systems create or change partitions to use these new partition types and that can affect the operation of OS/2.

This package will allow OS/2 to work in an environment that is utilizing these new partition types."

A typically use is the installation of the boot manager behind the border of 1024 cylinders.
