I've just finished "Phase I" of a project to add WPS features to the
Mozilla apps. Before I submit these changes, I'd like to get your
feedback. If you'd like to try a test version of Firefox, download:

fx-wps-v1.zip (8,753,553 bytes)

Phase I covers icons and helper apps:

icons: The icons displayed in the Download and Helper Apps dialogs
will match the ones you'd see if the file were in a WPS folder.

helper-apps: The Download dialog will always let you open any file
(except an exe) in a helper app. In most cases, it will offer
the WPS default (e.g. "WarpIn" for *.wpi or "MM Audio Player"
for *.wav). Programs listed in your mailcap file or previously
selected from this dialog will always be shown and may squeeze
out the WPS entry (since there's only room for two choices).

If you find any bugs in the WPS features, please email me or post here.
Other bugs should be reported as problems with the Deer Park Alpha 1
(the titlebar identifies this version as "Deer Park WPS Alpha 1").

Notes:
- the firefox directory contains a copy of Run! that has been renamed
as "firefox!L.exe" (the 'L' option sets LIBPATHSTRCT).

- I've included a number of debugging messages in the code. To view
them, use either Firefox's "-console" commandline option, or add the
'V' option to Run! (i.e. firefox!LV.exe).

- this package uses a new version (v0.70) of Remote Workplace Server
(RWS) to provide the WPS interface. This version will unload itself
when the last app using it closes so you can move or delete its files.

- the use of RWS is completely optional. If you remove or rename its
dlls (rwscli07 and rwssrv07), most icons will default to the generic
datafile icon, and the helper-app dialog will display "WPS default"
rather than the program's name.
