eSeaMonkey 1.1.3 for OS/2 release notes
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This is not an official release of SeaMonkey. Although it uses code from the
MOZILLA_1_8_BRANCH checked out on 21Jul2007 for the largest part, I added
several enhancements:

Extra Features:
- Include MNG/JNG support
<bugzilla.mozilla.org;
- Activate SVG and Canvas support, including license correction
<bugzilla.mozilla.org;
- Add support for WPS objects in the browser, using Rich Walsh's RWS
<bugzilla.mozilla.org;
and ship RWS libraries and script to support it.
Note: WPS support in this enhanced SeaMonkey allows you to open
downloaded files using their default WPS association. The download
dialog should show you the name of the program or WPS class to be
used. If it only shows "WPS default", run RWS08.CMD and choose
option 3.
- Tag downloaded files with source URL in extended attributes, using Rich
Walsh's patch
<bugzilla.mozilla.org;
- Package extra DLL: ipluginw.dll (for plugin functionality, no bug)
- Fix the way keycodes are reported to JavaScript
<bugzilla.mozilla.org;
- Load the application into high memory
<bugzilla.mozilla.org;

Smaller changes and additions:
- Link all .xpt files into one (componentsseamonkey.xpt) for ZIP
package (installer package links them automatically; no bug)
- Package REXX CMD script to enable Innotek Font Engine support for
SeaMonkey. Thanks to Veit Kannegieser.
- Fix xpicleanup crashes when it is started standalone
<bugzilla.mozilla.org;
- Fix shutdown problem when SETI@Home etc. is running
<bugzilla.mozilla.org;
- Some changes to README.txt (see below)
<bugzilla.mozilla.org;
<bugzilla.mozilla.org;
- Add support for codepages 1125 and 1131
<bugzilla.mozilla.org;

"Branding" issues:
- Rename to MOZ_APP_DISPLAYNAME to "eSeaMonkey" in configure.in (no bug).
'e' could stand for extended or enhanced but it also signifies that it
was developed with the help of eComStation.
This change basically only affects the default User-Agent string, so it
helps to discriminate bug reports from this and the official SeaMonkey.

Other changes listed in previous versions are not necessary any more, as they
are now either part of the official Mozilla sources or superseded by a new
change.

Please report bugs to me via mozilla.dev.ports.os2 newsgroup first or email
before you blame Mozilla.org/SeaMonkey Council, or open bugs in bugzilla. ;-)

While the Mozilla code and the additions above fall under the Mozilla Public
License, the extra DLL of this release (componentsipluginw.dll) has a
different license. See and componentsipluginw.readme.
