Agreed :-(

> Just a few words: the above shows that your Visa is not a credit card at all as it's supposed to be :) It is _debit_ card, happily recognized by the western banks, however. You're lucky guy :). I had a SBS-Agro's "Visa" for a couple of years (actually, I still have it in my wallet, although it's already expired... I use it as a spare ID since it has my photo on it :), but I was never able to use it on the web. And again, I always had to maintain a positive balance.

You are right, I just forgot to mention it: what you can get in Russia is not a credit card, although it is called so. My bank even reserves a right to void my account and charge me $100 if I ever overdue my debet by ANY amount, even $1. So this is in fact a debit card. But it works across the Internet, and that's all that I need.

Even living here in Russia, I can't beleive the salary figure you posted :-(. I only hope the prices in your shops are also lower than in Moscow. Moscow prices for things like foods, clothes, etc. are nearly the same as in London, and definitely higher than in New York.

> I said that "capital cities are the exception". Then, not many people actually do some kind of part time job (unless they have no other ways to make a living).

Since I'm working for the University, there's no way to earn living without extra work done for some other companies. University salaries are only enough to pay for my bus/tube pass ticket.
